Eating doesn’t need to be a struggle!

At Nutra-Intuition, we provide personalized, online and in-person nutrition coaching to help  heal the mind-body relationship with regards to food. Our approach focuses on providing gentle nutrition support based off of current scientific recommendations to individuals dealing with food struggles related to chronic illness and weight concerns. We emphasize mindfulness and Intuitive Eating approaches to eating behavior and are cognizant of current guidelines for specific medical conditions.

Our focus is on teaching people to eat how they were designed to eat. Over time, the cultural emphasis on body weight, food groups, calories, and dieting has destroyed the natural, intuitive connection between our bellies and our brains that is essential to achieving and maintaining wellness. Babies are born with the effortless ability to eat when they are hungry, which allows them to receive all the nutrients they need without any sort of outside intervention. Problems only arise when we start manipulating what and how much is being eaten.

At Nutra-Intuition we believe that the ideology behind “eat this, not that” is inherently flawed. In today’s world, we don’t need more food rules. Rather, we need to take a step back, and tune into what our bodies are telling us — not our brains.

We don’t believe in dieting. Rather, we promote eating real foods — all of them — in abundance. Cookies and kale are both part of a healthy lifestyle, as are sleep, socialization, and spirituality. Therefore, our focus is on whole health, centered around food freedom, without restrictions. We utilize a non-diet and drug-free approach to helping you heal your relationship with food and your body, and achieve your health goals.
